Who is Bridal Beauty Detroit?

We are Detroit's premier team of experienced bridal hairstyling experts and makeup artists specializing in on-location beauty services. Each member is licensed by the State Board of Cosmetology, insured, extremely professional, friendly and dependable. Please meet your hand picked and extremely talented team members here on the BLOG.

How do I make an inquiry?

Visit our contact page form and fill out the form with as much information as possible (location, time you need to be ready by, services needed etc).

How far in advance should I book you?

It’s never too early! Feel free to book as soon as possible. The sooner you book us, the more likely it is that we will have your date available. We generally book about 1 year in advance. For the busiest months of May through October your date will be secured as soon as a deposit is received. Deposit/Retainers are non refundable, no exceptions.

How much does it cost to hire a professional makeup artist?

The price of our services depends on several things including the number of people. Our pricing is very competitive and we would love to hear more about your needs. Please provide us with a little information and we will contact you with a quote. You can also fill out the contact form and/or visit our services to view prices.

Do you have a minimum booking requirement?

Yes. There is a 4 person minimum.

Do you come on location for my wedding?

Yes of course! Anytime and any place. We are happy to do so!

How do I secure you for my wedding date?

Please note that inquiring about a certain date does not guarantee you that date. We will need a completed and signed contract agreement from you, with the deposit ($200 retainer) in order to book your date. Retainer fees apply to the Wedding Day Balance. We accept cash/check/credit card or PayPal. To be fair we book on a first come/first serve basis.

Can I book my wedding date without having a trial session first?

Absolutely! Often times brides secure their day first with a non–refundable deposit to hold their date.

Trial-Run Sessions, are they required?

Trial sessions are recommended before any big event but are mainly done for the benefit of the bride. You will rest easy knowing your hair and makeup will look exactly as you had always envisioned & they are typically done 1-7 months before your BIG day. We can schedule whenever you are ready at either of our two convenient Salon locations – weekdays before 9pm (Oakland or Livonia). On the day-of, we come to you!

Do you have travel fees?

With us there are no travel fees. We service all Metro Detroit Areas.

What type of makeup do you use on your clients?

All products used are of the highest standards and proven for longwearing & tear proof a bride needs. We carry items for all skin types and skin tones. Some of the brands used are; Bobbi Brown, Chanel, Laura Mercier, Urban Decay, Makeup Forever and MAC. Also, Face Atelier, Cinema Secrets, Kett, Temptu, & Embryolisse. We also offer airbrush or traditional makeup.

Do you offer Engagement Sessions?

Yes, we do! Choose to come to one of our convenient salons or have us come to your location of choice!

Do you cover scars/tattoos?

Yes! A detailed quote will be provided and assessed, after seeing the need directly.

How do I prepare for my trial & how long does it last?

Come with your hair clean and dry; face clean and moisturized. You are welcomed to bring pictures of Hair/ Makeup looks which are appealing to you. If you have a photo of your dress and headpiece you can bring along as well. Most trials take about 1 and 1/2 hours, however we also usually plan to go over and sign the agreement. Together we will  take documentation photos, as well as, outline your day-of timeline.

When is the final payment due?

Final payment is due 1 week before your wedding. The balance in full can be paid by cash/ check/ credit card/ PayPal or bank transfer. We’ve found this is the most stress free way for you and your ladies. Brides often collect payments due from their bridesmaids / family members a few weeks prior to the big day. Come the day of, you can just focus on being pampered with services and having a fun and stress-free experience.

Can I book hair and makeup services for my bridal party?

Of course you can. All of our 7 fabulous team artists have had several years of hair and make up background. They each have the most experience in what makeup will look best for professional wedding photos, as well as, what will look good in person and on video. Experts at Bridal Beauty On Location LLC have been hand picked bridal specialists. You stay relaxed and stress-free. We can accommodate as many people as you need as we specialize in large groups of 12 persons or more.

How much time do the services usually take on my wedding day?

Makeup & Hair for the bride takes approximately 1-1/2 hours and 20 – 45 minutes per each service for each member of your bridal party. Makeup varies depending on how dramatic the look is. Hair depends on the length and density of the client’s hair and the style desired. Once you provide the departure time, we do all the scheduling for you.

What if I need to cancel my booking/contact?

We require a 30 day, written notice of cancellation. If clients are subtracted within the final 30 days before your event you will be charged the quoted rate.

Are you able to accommodate last minute people for makeup and hair on a wedding day?

Surprisingly common on the day of the wedding. This often happens after seeing someone who has just received services from us and then want to look as great. If time permits, we will gladly do them as long as it does not interfere with the original clients who have already booked our services or your scheduled departure time.

After my hair is styled and my makeup applied, will you be available for touch-ups?

While we do offer touch-up services, they are generally not needed. Airbrush makeup will last for 8 or more hours and hair styles are designed to hold for the entire evening.

Liability Insurance, do you have that?

Yes,we have liability insurance that covers up to $1 million. I just hope I never have to use it!
